The radical school guide aims to engage young students in politics and democracy, including virtual scenarios and represents a significant pathway of implemented activities with teachers and students. This is the flagship outcome of the project “Young students as political game-changers developing an easy-to-use model for secondary schools to help engage young students in politics based on their own interests and their 21st-century culture“.
The essential school guide is a strong break-away from traditional school activities. The outcome consists of a number of multimedia elements all of which provide various forms of guidance to teachers and secondary schools. The guidance aims to make schools organize such open schooling activities that foster early interest and engagement in politics among young students and help prevent building resistance towards politics.
The guide target audience is:
a) the projects’ local and European networks of schools, teacher educations, and teachers;
b) the project’s professional European network: the “state of the art Youth and Politics research and policy Platform”;
c) the student teams’ social networks.
Why is THE GAME CHANGER called “the radical school guide”?
In the context of YOUNG STUDENTS AS POLITICS GAME CHANGERS “radical” indicates a strong break-away from traditional school activities aiming to give young students information about politics and policy-making.
The radical school guide is an interactive project web consisting of guidelines, scenarios, and valuable project results that might have a massive positive influence on other schools’ teachers and students across Europe.
